Haleiwa - Storytelling - Film

Haleiwa was probably my favorite place on the North Shore.
We set off to do storytelling through photographs of this city.
Things to note (in no particular order):
1) best shaved ice ever.  greatly exceeded my expectations.
2) the guy by the car found out I was from the mainland and pretended to hit me with that large plastic bottle.
3) "tripple crown" is spelled wrong and is referring to the huge surf competition coming up.
4) there was junk everywhere and the marina had boats that looked abandoned, but were not.
5) this house was half outside and they were selling food.
6) the guy at the gas station was huge.
7) I barely did anything to these pictures.  very, very little editing. oh how i wish blogger made them look like they do.

Website

My website has been up and running for a while now, but I never really announced it...

Check it out and let me know what you think.  I will consistently be adding pictures to the "work" section.

A couple'a things

1. I love Thanksgiving.  Eat Mom's yummy food, sleep, play with baby, see movie with sisters. Perfect.
2. Black Friday was very manageable.  It helped that we were well staffed.
3. Edward Cullen should not have pit stains.  Nor should any actor who's wardrobe dept is on top of things.  Someone help the poor guy out and get him another shirt.

Tumbled

This is the picture I took as I tumbled to the ground.  Jon was taking pictures and did not realize I was behind him.  Soon I had a large man standing on the edge of both my flip flops, leaving my feet stuck and him continuing to back into me.  Needless to say I went down, and was able to still push my shutter button for a really bad picture.  Luckily, the ground in Hawaii is freakishly soft, and it didn't really hurt too much.
Jon felt really bad about it for the rest of the day.

Yolanda

Gorgeous.  Sweet.  Smart.  and lots of fun.

Emron

Works for Pixar.  Loves Halloween.  Was THE best latin dancer at BYU while I was there.

Kara

My loving cousin I hadn't seen in years is the only reason I survived the city.  She helped me get a hotel, took me to what I needed to see, told us insider details, picked amazing restaurants, fed me, helped me not get lost, and just all around took care of me and was sweet.
That's Biwi, the dog.  Oh how I wish I wasn't allergic.

Everyone who knew her that we ran into thought I was her sister :)  I love her.
As Nick said, "You are lucky to have such a great cousin."  I know.

Nick

Nick drove, ate what we couldn't finish, found parking, crossed the bridge, let me use his tripod, let me take a bajillion pictures, took us around Pixar, and protected me in Berkeley on Halloween.
He home taught my sisters, dated one, took care of me and my other sister and the twins, and is way too good to us.  He is a great friend.
