That little girl would not smile for me at all. But my goodness, she was the cutest little thing with her big blue eyes and long eyelashes and blond hair.

Zoo a la Carte
Got a new flash and did some trial and error.
Zoo a la Carte is where Milwaukee restaurants set up camp at the Zoo. Then you feast from the different tents while looking at animals. Well, when you go when it is dark, your stuck not getting to see the animals. But riding the train in the dark was totally worth it. Coolest little thing - they need to do it at Halloween.
Only a few mishaps for the evening... one nephew threw up :( and I lost my car keys in the dark. Said a prayer, went to the admin office and they had them!

People didn't live in black and white
When I think about the past, I always picture it in black and white. I forget that people lived in color in the 1940's and that their lipstick was actually bright red. These color pictures from 1939-1943 show us what life was like in color.
