Utah Adventure: Day 4

Look closely (or click the picture to see Scott and Moo).

(again, click to see Scott)

Royal Blue: Scotty the climbing man. Pink: Moo. Orangish Yellow: Me. Dark Blue: Michael being goofy.
This was an absolute blast, even if it took forever to find it in the middle of nowhere, southern Utah. Thanks Scotty for taking us climbing!

Viva Las Vegas

To get us in the mood of Las Vegas (we had just come from Kolob), I played a little Elvis. It helped.
Didn't get a pic of the Elvis-es we saw. Sorry.

March Madness

You know you are really into following sports when your friend has you fill out a bracket in the middle of nowhere, after being in a car forever, on the first day of the tournament, when you can't pronounce some of the names, and he reminds you a week later who you wrote in so you know who you are supposed to be "cheering" for this weekend.

well, the last time I did this I got in the 98% ranking on ESPN.com. let's see if I can beat that.

Utah Adventure: Day 3 - Night

After driving all the way through Utah and hiking Kolob and driving some more, we went to Vegas - mainly so I could check it off my list. We had fun.
I feel like I should explain some of these pictures...

Hotel. Stratosphere. Got a sweet deal. Impossible to find your way around due to the casino.

Downtown Vegas. Watching a Queen light show. Thank goodness I love Queen, otherwise who knows what my face would have been...

I just wanted to see the cowboy man from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."

At the top of the hotel.

Taken inside a moving vehicle. Always a fun way to try and get good pictures. :)

Utah Adventure: Day 3

Things we were supposed to do when going on a hike:

-Tell people where we were
-Bring water
-Have good footwear
-Put on sunscreen
-Know where we were going

There would be no "checks" on this list on our first little hike in Kolob Canyons.
Everything was surreal.
The only colors were shades of orange and green.

How is this a good idea?

Methinks it's not. When I heard about rides at the top of a hotel in Vegas many years ago, I thought they were ride on top of the hotel (indoors). Nope. They're rides on top of the hotel for boarding, but then they head over the edge for the rest of the ride. I was too freaked.

Utah Adventure: Day 1 & 2

-Natty is awesome for letting us stay at his house. His dad is a painter and collector and really nice. The house = wow.
-Cafe Rio is yummy.
-I love spring skiing and Snowbird. Snow isn't great but the weather sure is, making one less tired.
-Leg burnage was at a high.
-We lost each other on the way to the first run. My message "I'm just down the hill, come on down" was not useful/appreciated.
-Singing down the mountain makes skiing all the better.
-Show Boat has catchy songs, but not a fan of the plot. The kids did a good job though.

Crazy adventure

I just got back from a crazy adventure. My high school buddy (even though we've known each other since elementary school) and I headed to Utah for a few days. We flew out, got a rental car and put 1300 miles on that bad boy.
Of course I took a billion pictures, so expect many photos of rocks and mountains for a while.

Everywhere I went, we ran into someone I know. It was the craziest thing. Other than Vegas and Angel's Landing and...

"Olivier? As in Laurence Olivier?"

Nana and I may or may not have a crush on Laurence Olivier. I may or may not have asked a customer with the same last name if he was related to the hunk and may or may not have freaked out when he was indeed related. Nana may or may not have asked if I had gotten an autograph or picture of this relative (her crush goes much deeper).

He is dreamiest in Fire Over England (above). But I still love him the most in Rebecca.

Day in the Park

When it's somewhat warm out and the sun is shining, everyone heads outside. Including me and babycakes.

Black Tie

I love a simple tux. This makes me think old Hollywood when men and women always looked dignified.

ps: i love this guy's hair.
