Going to be broke
Whilst at J.Crew, I put this hat on Sammy and he looked like a little newsboy. When I would take it off him, he wanted it back on and walked around the store saying "hat."
The amount of ridiculously cute preppy clothes at crewcuts is going to make me destitute. I'm going to want to buy them all for Little Boy. They are cute clothes on the racks, but even cuter on a sweetheart.

Dove ad
My sister saw this and showed it to me. We were both blown away. Look carefully at all they do to her, especially in Photoshop.

Johnny Disney
Johnny Depp has teamed up with Disney again for a few films. Read about it here.
Which leads me to my movie of the week: Edward Scissorhands.
Kind of a sad movie. But production design on this is wonderful. Just like all Tim Burton movies.
I remember it being on TV when I was little and asking my mom what the movie they were watching was about. And she told me it was about a man who had scissors for hands and was helpful, but no one appreciated him. I thought it was a true story and that he lived in Florida.
yeah.

The Talent Show is upon us
Twice a year, my Young Single Adult Ward puts on a talent show. My first one was a year ago. Now that my sissy is leaving me high and dry to get married, I'm not as excited (we would always do stuff together). Maybe if the talent shows weren't 17 million hours long...
Anywho, I think I'm going to do this song.
A) because Gwen Stefani is one of the only female A-listers I can stand
B) she's just so cool
C) i love this song
kinda lame music video (good for No Doubt fans), but i love the Super- 8mm look of her with the old styled hair, makeup and dress.

Current Favorite Movie
So I fell off the wagon for a bit with the "movie of the week." apologies.
Starting again, today!
Libeled Lady. Favorites together William Powell & Myrna Loy with fabulous Jean Harlow and Spencer Tracy.
So funny. Oh how I love this movie!
Here's a little clip.

You know the saying
What happens at Grandma's, stays at Grandma's. Or what happens at baby's house when Grandma is over and Mommy is not watching, stays with baby and grandma. That works too.
Anyway
I feel like a little kid going to grandma's when I go over to my sisters' places. I get fed yummy, yummy food, watch movies, talk, etc. It's a treat and a half. Like the other day my sister fed me dinner and made cookies and we started a movie. Bliss.

I know, I know
I talk about him all the time, but he is melting my heart. He only knows how to say a few words: hat, hot, out, woof woof (how's a doggy go, or just "doggy"), how a horsey goes (buzzes his lips), Ma, Mama, Nana, Dada, Oh and Wooooaaooow or just Woaw.
New word: baby.
He grabs his baby pictures and brings it to you and says "baby" again and again. Melt me into the floor with the sweetness of the scene. And it just so happens that is one of his names. Baby.
In this picture we have him responding to the question, "How big is baby?" In which he "raises" his arms and we say, "SSSSOOO Big!"

Invitations to Showers
This was designed for my sister's babycakes shower last summer. My friend Adam did it. I love it. We love Beatrix Potter.
This is what we came up with for Lindsay's bridal shower. My bro-in-law made the silhouette from a picture, and we used a Jane Austen font. Both play into the details of her wedding.
