Narnia

Walked into work last night and j says, "I saw Narnia and you look just like Lucy!"

Great.  Just what I wanted.  To look like an 8 year old.

j: "You know the one with the arrows!"  

r: "You mean Susan."

j: "Oh yeah, Susan.  You look just like Susan."

Ok.  I can handle that.  Especially since Susan is a female Legolas AND gets to kiss Prince Caspian.

Oh, and I think Peter's hair is perfect.  As is Caspian's (just needs to be a bit shorter, but still quite lovely).

Heather reminded us all about the Sundance resort full moon rides. Oh how I want to go! Being thousands of miles away kinda makes it difficult. blah.

Once upon a time, I was told by two very different people, very unrelated that I looked like the girl on this show.

I didn't know how to take it, especially since I had never seen it.

Now that I am wearing my hair wavy again, I am told I look like this girl.

Windy Ridge

Park City, Utah is great fun. Walking around Main Street, skiing, hiking, whatever! it's fun.
However, all of the restaurants on Main St. are, personally, overpriced.
Thanks to the Food Network, I found this delight. It was delicious. I was there for a late lunch and had a yummy sandwich and THE best onion rings I've ever eaten. It's away from the hip part of town, but not too far. So the next time you are in PC, hit up Windy Ridge. {looks like they have other restaurants too... makes me want to try them...}

Sleepover

My sister's husband is on a camping scout trip thingy.  So she and the baby are sleeping over!

Remember sleepovers?  Eating junk food, playing, talking all night, watching a movie that you could barely keep your eyes open to finish, sleeping on the FLOOR in a sleeping bag.  

Yeah, this sleepover went more like this:  I came home late, said goodnight to my sister, looked at the baby sleeping perfectly, and went to bed.  Not quite the same...

I love this blog (totally inspired me), but mostly I also love the girl behind it.  And the name!  How perfect is that!  I knew Heather and her husband (and his sister) at school.  Remember how she generously gave me photo tips?  Well, she also is complementary too. 

Ultra Screen

What is it?

Let them explain:

The UltraScreens, with razor sharp three-story tall picture, crystal clear digital sound and comfortable stadium seats are Marcus movie magic at its best.

Basically, it is (as Tracy would say) a screen on crack. And I love it. If it isn't on the UltraScreen, I usually don't go to the movie theaters (I know, I'm a bad film graduate).

BUT

I did see Iron Man when it opened, on the UltraScreen of course (had no idea what I was going to see). People: Go. See. It. Now.

And guess what is coming to town?!? Prince Caspian. Please be good, please be good, please be good...

Tonight was weird. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Pause with a look from me that screamed "You've got to be kidding me"

MP: Okay, who is your favorite character, BESIDES Jim?

Wedding Song

Wouldn't it be fun to make homemade peanut butter, homemade bread, and use (already made) homemade jam to create an all-around homemade peanut butter and jam sandwich?!  It would be even better if it was eaten on a picnic.

Finally saw it.  Some may know, I'm kinda a tech geek, especially when it comes to spy tech stuff.  After all, spy was my favorite game to play as a kid.

So this movie tickled my fancy.  

But I was on edge the entire time.  My date told me that I was breathing 5 times faster than him.  But he checked my pulse and said I was ok.  {that's what happens when you're with a doctor}

I'd see it again.  

Bridal Showers

They are interesting things.  

Personally, they should only last 1.5 hours.  None of this 3+ hours stuff.

This time, we had strict instructions to not play/win the games because we always win.

Welp, out of the 3 games, L won the one where we drew something on top of our heads and I won a prize just for having a heart on my piece of paper... oiy.

At my sister's shower, I had a friend help out.  He was our "bartender."  I think all the crazy fun girls forgot he was there.  Afterwards he said, "So that's how girls act when boys aren't around! I couldn't believe how much they ate!"  

Yeah, they ate a ton, were out of control, and really loud.  But it was dang fun :)

Someday, I hope to go to a shower like this girl would put on.

Juicy + Gum balls

Ever been to a Juicy Couture store?  If there is one in the area I am shopping, I have to stop in ... at least once.  They have these big jars full of fresh (that means not stale) gum balls for the takin' and a-chewin'.  I'm like a little kid and grab a big handful and then chew until my jaw cannot function properly.  

One time my mom and I wanted new gum, but we had been in the store (not crowded, they know who you are) twenty minutes prior, just for gum.  We tried to convince my dad to go in and grab us some gum since they hadn't seen him yet.  I'm sure you can guess how that ended...

Whilst at work, a customer came up to me and wanted to know if our online music store sold certain songs. Only then would she think about buying a product. What did she have me look up?

Sure enough. It is indeed a band. But don't listen to them. Don't.

BFI Southbank formerly known as NFT

When I studied in London, we hit up the National Film Theater weekly (now it looks way cooler and has a new name). Films shown here are usually old and hard to come by, making it a quite delightful, cultural experience. And it was cheaper than the normal cinemas.
If I lived in London, I would try and have a date with the new BFI Southbank at least once a month. {it would be more often if there weren't a bajillion other cool things to do in London}

Food obsession #1

I have been kinda addicted to these for oh, about a year.  

Whenever anyone goes to Utah and comes back, I ask nicely if they can pick some up for me. Once you eat these, you can't go back to already cooked.

First wedding of the season

This is the Elm Grove Women's Club.  Cute huh!?!  I went to a wedding reception there of my friend Miriam (she looked great and her husband is a stud).  Next wedding there is Bethany's!! woot woot!
