Def & Danny

Once upon a time I worked with this really really cool, funny, upbeat guy named Defraim. We all loved him. Then he moved away :(

Fast forward to the end of this year's American Idol. A guy from Milwaukee has made it really far and the producers sent him home to do a free show for the city. While at previously said work, Def comes in to say hi and tells us he is the guitarist for Danny Gokey of American Idol. How cool is that! That meant showtime for me. There were 25,000 people there, so I did the absolute best I could to get good shots for Def (the guy in black with the hat). But I was really, really far away.

Little Dorrit

I hope you are watching Little Dorrit on Masterpiece Theater. There is nothing like a six hour long Charles Dicken's movie. Except maybe a six hour long Jane Austen movie...

Once upon a time, I was told by two very different people, very unrelated that I looked like the girl on this show.

I didn't know how to take it, especially since I had never seen it.

Now that I am wearing my hair wavy again, I am told I look like this girl.

Seven Brides For Seven Brothers is on TCM on Saturday.  

I like how she is wearing a quilt in this picture.  

Good songs in this one: group songs.  Bad songs:  The one where she sings out the window while he is in the tree... it makes me uncomfortable every time... I shrink during awkward songs, live and in movies.

  

The Office

Tonight was weird. I'm not sure what to make of it. 

But on another note, here is a convo from last Nov. I had with a new friend:

MP: So do you watch The Office?

W: Yes! I love that show.

MP: Who's your favorite character?

Pause with a look from me that screamed "You've got to be kidding me"

MP: Okay, who is your favorite character, BESIDES Jim?

If you Google "Jim," Big Tuna is the first thing that comes up :)
